As an experienced Tibco BusinessWorks Developer you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. Work you'll do/Responsibilities

The project focuses on designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing middleware solutions that connect banking applications, databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and other enterprise systems.

The Consultant will contribute to integration delivery across TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks environments, including BW 5.x, BW 6.x, and BusinessWorks Container Edition. The role requires collaboration with distributed teams and flexibility to align working hours with Eastern or Central time zones.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise integrations using TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 5.x, 6.x, and/or BusinessWorks Container Edition.
  • Develop and support RESTful and SOAP-based web services for secure and reliable communication across enterprise applications.
  • Implement asynchronous, event-driven integrations using TIBCO Enterprise Message Service, Apache Kafka, and/or IBM MQ.
  • Build data transformation and mapping logic using XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and WSDL.
  • Integrate middleware solutions with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database triggers to support integration workflows.
  • Monitor integration flows and troubleshoot production issues, including latency, memory leaks, thread contention, and message-processing failures.
  • Tune TIBCO engine and JVM parameters to improve integration performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement robust error-handling, logging, alerting, retry, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Support software delivery automation using Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable CI/CD tools.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and apply established integration design patterns, coding standards, and quality practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, testers, infrastructure teams, and client stakeholders in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Support unit testing, debugging, deployment validation, and defect resolution using TIBCO Designer and/or Business Studio.
  • Contribute to the modernization of legacy integrations through microservices, containerization, and cloud-enabled delivery approaches.
  • Align work hours as needed with Eastern or Central time zone teams and project ceremonies.

Qualifications

Required
  • 4+ years of experience in professional software engineering, enterprise application integration, middleware development, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience developing integrations with TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 5.x and/or 6.x, including hands-on experience with TIBCO Enterprise Message Service.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST and SOAP web services using HTTP/S, FTP, and SFTP.
  • 3+ years of experience working with XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath, JSON, WSDL, and complex data transformation or mapping requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience integrating middleware solutions with enterprise databases using SQL, stored procedures, or database triggers, and supporting CI/CD delivery through tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks Container Edition, Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices modernization.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering technology solutions for financial services, banking, insurance, capital markets, wealth management, or FinTech organizations.
  • 2+ years of experience developing or supporting solutions that process sensitive data, including PII or NPI, with security controls such as SSL/TLS and OAuth2.
  • 1+ year of experience supporting security reviews, penetration testing, compliance activities, or risk management for enterprise integration solutions.
  • 1+ year of experience integrating AI, Generative AI, robotic process automation, or other automation technologies into digital transformation initiatives.
  • 1+ year of experience working with cloud platforms, containerized deployments, automated testing, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
