Position Description: CGI is hiring a Threat Intelligence Analyst that will support one of our State & Local clients in partnership with federal resources. The role will fuse together counterterrorism and criminal intelligence resources from local, state, and federal agencies as well as private industries to facilitate information collection, prioritization, classification, analysis, and sharing, in order to better defend against terrorist threats and/or attack, and criminal activity. This position will support law enforcement investigations, facilitate multi-disciplinary partnerships, and create intelligence products and briefings for the Northern Virginia region.
This position is located in Fairfax, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Handle Requests For Information (RFIs) from various local, state, and federal partners.
. Use Records Management Systems and databases to complete requests and research
. Conduct OSINT searches
. Weekly and monthly briefings to local, state, and federal partners
. Product planning and writing (individually or collaborative, sometimes with other fusion centers or agencies
. Facilitate the exchange of critical infrastructure, criminal, terrorism, and critical infrastructure information and intelligence between the fusion centers and all law enforcement, public safety, homeland security partners, and private industry partners in the Northern Virginia region.
. Develop strategic partnerships with private industry to the exchange on threat analysis
. Analyze multi-faceted data in order to show methods, trends, and patterns relating to the Northern Virginia region.
. Conduct database checks and provide analyzed results in a report to respond to requests for information in a timely, efficient manner
. Produce daily, monthly, and/or ad-hoc, actionable intelligence products on emerging events incidents, risks, threats, events, or trends
. Produce reports and briefs identifying significant or suspicious activity related to events;
. Provide actionable strategic and technical intelligence to partners regarding new trends and patterns, TTPs, tools, or actors in event monitoring
. Coordinate with appropriate personnel, organizations, and units, including but not limited to State and Local Police Computer Crimes Units, the state Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), state and/or local Information Technology departments, the state Homeland Security Advisor (HSA), the state and/or local Homeland Security Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the U.S. Secret Service (USSS), and the owners and operators of Critical Infrastructure (CI), the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Bachelors degree in social science, government, business, homeland security, or criminal justice related field and/or analytical experience to include intelligence analysis training
1 to 3 years experience in any emergency services field (Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, HAZMAT/explosives response, and/or fire/arson investigation) preferred
Knowledge of classified and open-source research and data analysis methods and techniques
Ability to collect, assemble, analyze, and evaluate evidence, statistics, and other pertinent information to draw logical conclusions in order to effectively inform protective actions
Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to a wide range and number of audiences
Experience working with federal, state, and local law enforcement databases
Ability to work extended hours as necessary
Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and criminal investigations
Knowledge in the collection, analyzing, and dissemination of homeland security intelligence information.
Ability to prepare graphs, charts, tables, maps, and other illustrative devices from collected data or visual presentations.
Ability to understand and follow directives, instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass a county police background check, including fingerprinting, drug screening, and polygraph examination.
Candidates will currently hold or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Candidates will be available to work any time between 0600 and 1800 hours, with availability to work adjusted hours on weekends or evenings for special events and critical incidents as needed
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 - $172,400.00.
