EXPERIENCE:
- Thermal / Mechanical Engineering degree (bachelor's with 7+ years of experience or master's with 5+ years of experience)
- Competency with thermal/fluid flow design and analysis
- Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Hands-on engineering and thermal testing in conjunction with test engineers in lab
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead product development and thermal design activities relevant to design of a commercial refrigerator
- Communicating and collaborating effectively within or outside organization with vendors and suppliers
- Optimization of design using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) principles
- Engineering design using hand calculations and 1D/2D thermal modeling
- Troubleshooting using DFMEA and root cause analysis
- Design of heat exchangers and refrigerant piping in a refrigerator
- Air flow optimization and fan selection
- Generating and presenting reports for design approval
- Drafting and publishing internal engineering standards and procedures
SKILLS:
- MS office
- CAD
- Proficient in English, Spanish is a plus
