The Thermal Analyst will conduct mechanical design and analysis of spent nuclear fuel storage and transportation casks, high-density spent nuclear fuel storage racks, Small Modular Reactor (SMR) thermal-hydraulic evaluations, and heat exchangers.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thermal performance evaluations of spent fuel casks and spent fuel pools;
- Conduct Multiphysics simulations, integrating CFD results with structural mechanics and nuclear departments;
- Conduct design and performance evaluations of heat exchangers;
- Prepare and review licensing reports, calculation reports, and computer code validations;
- Build 3D thermal models of various dry storage systems; and
- Participate in meetings with clients and government regulators.
Requirements:- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field;
- Experience with/demonstrated knowledge of Fluid mechanics and heat transfer;
- Experience with/demonstrated knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD);
- Experience with/demonstrated knowledge of Thermal systems design analysis;
- Experience with/demonstrated knowledge of Leading or contributing to projects involving conjugate heat transfer, multiphase flow, or transient simulations using technical tools CFD, analytical modeling, experimental validation;
- Direct, hands-on experience developing, or applying turbulence models to engineering problems;
- Experience with/demonstrated knowledge of MATLAB, Python, SolidWorks, ANSYS FLUENT, Workbench, and FORTRAN; and
- Experience with/demonstrated knowledge of Multi-phase flows.

Compensation: Base annual salary $120,390 with standard company benefits.
