Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
THAAD Weapon System Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide systems engineering support for the THAAD Interceptor.
What You'll Be Doing:- Support the THAAD Interceptor engineering team in system design, integration, and performance validation to ensure alignment with the US Army's strategic goals.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and verification of system engineering specifications and technical baselines.
- Participate in engineering working groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and technical design reviews.
- Assist in technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the evaluation of system hardware and software performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software) to integrate subsystems into the broader weapon system architecture.
- Review and contribute to engineering documentation, including Element Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and test plans.
- Support engineering studies to support the development and testing of systems or components.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty and 2+ years of related professional experience.
- NOTE: Newly-hired Master's degree graduates are typically hired into this level.
- General understanding of a weapon system's technical configuration, architecture, and functionality.
- Working knowledge of systems integration, testing, and engineering decomposition concepts.
- Ability to assist in the preparation of technical engineering briefing packages.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:- Bachelor's Degree in STEM field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts or engineering design tools (e.g., Cameo, MATLAB) is desirable.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication for working within a technical team.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software products.
Security Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
