Looking for Autism Specialist (Pediatric and/or Adult)
Your role
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW) -- Autism Specialist (Pediatric and/or Adult)
Your day-to-day expectations
• Provide evidence-based counseling to autistic patients and their families via the Televero Telehealth platform
• Deliver individual and family therapy utilizing autism-informed approaches
• Adapt therapeutic interventions based on developmental level, communication style, sensory needs, and cognitive functioning
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and care coordinators as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and quality of life.
• Assist patients managing co-occurring psychiatric conditions including: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, OCD, Trauma, Behavioral Dysregulation
• When not treating patients, assisting with, but not limited to, developing our behavioral health practice to include protocol development, training, and engaging in clinical behavioral health discussions with prospective clients
• Take notes and assign billing codes within the EMR, including no-shows
• Closeout documentation within twenty-four hours of the patient encounter
• Attend monthly peer, supervisory, and educational meetings
Your workday
This position is 100% virtual.
We are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm CST, Monday through Sunday.
This position open to part or full-time from 16 to 40 hours per week.
We will work with you to ensure a flexible schedule. We will ask you to include availability in your schedule evenings (5:00 PM-8:00 PM) or weekends.
This role reports to Televero's Director of Counseling.
Experience to thrive
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field.
• Completion of CSWE-accredited Master of Social Work or Counseling program.
• Active Unrestricted LPC or LCSW License in Texas.
• Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience treating individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
