Testing Manager at Accenture Federal Services, you will drive the modernization and strategic evolution of the testing function-leading the shift from manual testing practices to scalable, automated solutions. In this role, you will champion quality assurance excellence, streamline testing workflows, and foster a high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement.
The Work:You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of automated testing frameworks and ensure that these solutions are seamlessly integrated into existing delivery pipelines. Your responsibilities will include establishing rigorous standards for test coverage, reliability, and performance while maintaining alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
You will analyze testing outcomes, create detailed reporting dashboards, monitor key quality metrics, and translate results into actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and federal clients. Although primarily a leadership role, you may occasionally engage in hands-on testing to navigate complex technical scenarios or support your team during critical project milestones.
Your success will be supported by experience with industry-standard automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Cypress), proficiency with test management platforms, and exposure to Agile delivery models, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative tools such as Confluence and Jira. Strong communication skills, the ability to mentor diverse teams, and a proactive approach to process optimization will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary test team throughout the transition from manual to automated testing
- Oversee the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools
- Establish and enforce testing standards, procedures, and quality benchmarks
- Generate clear, actionable reports and present key testing metrics to stakeholders and clients
- Perform hands-on testing when required to resolve complex defects or support critical project phases
- Partner closely with clients to understand requirements, communicate project status, and ensure alignment
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, frameworks, results, and best practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, speed, and efficiency across the testing lifecycle
Here's What You Need:- Strong expertise in designing scalable automated test architectures for enterprise systems
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Solid understanding of API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify opportunities for automation and quality improvement
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Background in federal compliance requirements or secure development practices is highly beneficial
- Proven capacity to coach and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
