Full Job Description
Responsibilities

Peraton Labs is seeking a Test Systems Engineer to support its Electronic Warfare Research organization. This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and requires on site work, 5 days a week. This engineer will need to be able to develop test plans and coordinate details and schedules with multiple parties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Author, review, and execute detailed Test Plans (DTPs) for both Developmental Testing (DT) and Operational Testing (OT); analyze and translate top-level requirements documents into verifiable test metrics.
  • Serve as the Technical Test Lead for live-fire demonstrations and Infrared (IR) signature collection events; perform sensor integration, conduct comprehensive site surveys, and coordinate multi-organizational test support.
  • Configure, calibrate, and operate advanced data acquisition systems, tactical sensors, telemetry, and diagnostic software to capture and analyze critical performance metrics in real time.
  • Identify, analyze, and document technical risks, safety hazards, and failure modes early in the acquisition lifecycle to establish mitigation strategies prior to physical test execution.
  • Verify that tactically deployed systems seamlessly integrate and interoperate with existing Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) networks and standard Army architectures.
  • Initiate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for specialized laboratory and test equipment, diligently tracking expenditures against operational budgets to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Manage the technical cost, schedule, and performance baseline for research and development (R&D) engineering projects within a laboratory environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or other related technical discipline plus at least 5 years of engineering experience; 3 years of experience with a Master's degree

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
