About This RoleAs a Test Systems Engineer, you will design, test, and troubleshoot complex electronic systems while overseeing their installation, maintenance, and material needs. In this role, you will perform experimental testing, design custom circuitry, and quickly resolve daily production line issues to optimize engineering workflows and keep projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Analyzes equipment and conducts experimental tests to establish operating data.
- Performs engineering duties including manufacturing planning and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus to ensure that projects are completed on-time and as per the defined goals.
- Determines material and equipment needs and orders supplies to ensure sufficient resources for project completion.
- Develops or performs operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.
- Manage activities for the manufacture, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, or modification of electronic equipment, products, or systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepares, reviews or maintains maintenance schedules, design documentation, or operational reports and charts to ensure that progress and performance can be tracked.
- Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption.
- Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
- Designs, fabricates, modifies, and evaluates electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering Technology.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience leveraging software development tools, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and electrical schematic design tools.
- Ability to travel up to 25% to manufacturing and customer sites to support product launches, critical issues, and quality control.
Preferred Qualifications- A solid understanding of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as DC Power Supplies, Digital Acquisition, and Oscilloscopes and experience in their use.
- Experience with an Object-Oriented programming language such as C# or VB.Net or Python.
- General experience using software repositories like Subversion and GitHub.
- Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi modules, or other open-source microcontroller kit.
Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
