We are seeking a passionate Test Laboratory Manager - Hydrogen to lead the design and development of advanced testing solutions for rail systems. Join dedicated teams committed to excellence, where your expertise will drive innovation and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role, Your Impact
  • Oversee scalable laboratory operations to support multiple rail projects and ensure testing capacity meets future demands.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project teams to align testing protocols and share best practices across departments.
  • Ensure reliability of test results by implementing rigorous quality controls and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive innovation by introducing new testing methodologies and technologies to enhance system performance and safety.

What You Bring
  • Direct experience managing or working within a hydrogen laboratory environment. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in:
    • Hydrogen gas building codes
    • Hydrogen-related risk assessments
    • Installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of gas lines and piping systems
    • Hydrogen gas processes and infrastructure
  • Laboratory management experience: The role requires management capability, including oversight of technical personnel and operation of laboratory facilities.
  • Proficiency in hydrogen laboratory instrumentation, data analysis, and test automation systems relevant to rail transportation.
  • Electrical and facilities knowledge: Candidates should possess practical knowledge of:
    • Electrical installations
    • Electronics
    • Digital communications systems
    • Facility-related systems, including laboratory support infrastructure such as chiller loops
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in rail or similar systems.
  • Excellent communication, team management, and problem-solving skills; ability to foster collaboration and drive results.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
