Summit TRC is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our team. This role will help maintain and test new products for UAS platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in Operating Systems, software testing, and a passion for new technologies.
Responsibilities: - Perform software and hardware testing of components of complex drone platforms
- Coordinate and directs engineering activities concerned with the development of necessary test tools and methods
- Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations (i.e., test planning)
- Direct and exercise control over operational, functional, and performance phases of tests
- Perform levels of software testing and code scanning to ensure quality and reliability across the software lifecycle
- Use Linux command line extensively for testing, automation, and data handling
- Collaborate with other Engineering teams and technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, resolve testing problems, and ensure continuity of support and development
- Collect and summarizes test data to report on system verification and validation activities
- Optimize system performance and security
- Maintain excellent technical documentation hygiene
- Maintain cybersecurity best practices
Required Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience working with Windows and Linux Operating Systems and executing commands in the CLI
- Understanding of virtualization tools and hypervisors
- Understanding of scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Ability to work with external customers or stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
- Ability to identify a problem and find the solution
