Job Purpose : This position will be responsible for the development, execution, troubleshooting and debug of tests for complex electromechanical assemblies. This position will support on-going manufacturing and test of electromechanical assemblies through various activities including training and mentoring of test technicians and engineers.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities: - Develop test plans and document test procedures for new product introduction of state of the art electromechanical assemblies in a Class 1K cleanroom environment
- Ensure that all parts assembled in the cleanroom meet the required cleanliness specifications by focusing on the correct cleanliness test criteria.
- Collaborate with customers on parts cleanliness strategies for new products in production and manufacturing processes in the cleanroom.
- Participate in engineering CCB's and assist in the development and refinement of PFMEAs.
- Perform test architecture and tester selection within the constraints of test requirements
- Develop software and hardware designs for test as required to complete product manufacturing goals
- Execute test procedures, train test engineers and technicians and monitor test results
- Document and report test results with a high degree of accuracy in conformance to customer test requirements.
- Lead test anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis activities, recording and reporting this activity to both management and customers
- Activity management of internal and external resources, outside suppliers and vendors in support of test development, tool generation, OS selection, and validation testing
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline
- 2+ years of electromechanical manufacturing test engineering experience
- Experience with test of precision control and/or feedback systems required
- Test experience with vacuum chambers, specifically RGA and leak tests.
- Strong technical knowledge of electronic systems, software and components
- Experience in test fixture design, debug and testing as well as electronic interconnects and assembly processes
- Lab view development experience desired.
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary projects, such as robotics, mechatronics, or optical systems preferred but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication is required with an ability to accurately convey complex information to both internal and external stakeholders, including customers
- Must work well in a team environment, possess an ability to adapt to change in the environment, and have proven ability to exert influence in a directive and positive manner
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident. Salary Range (annual): $75,000 - $97,500. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
