Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking experienced professionals to support the navy's large enterprise networks. These roles will support critical engineering, technical, and programmatic efforts in alignment with PEO Digital, PMW 205, and NIWC Pacific requirements. Team members will work on the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of Navy IT systems, including modernization efforts such as cloud infrastructure and network convergence. Positions require collaboration with government and contractor personnel in a dynamic environment with both CONUS and OCONUS responsibilities.

The Test & Evaluation Engineer is responsible for validating that The Navy's Large Enterprise Networks systems meet operational, security, and performance requirements. This role plays a critical part in Zero Trust implementation, cloud modernization, and AI-driven network operations by ensuring rigorous testing and compliance with DoD cybersecurity and accreditation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for NEN infrastructure, including cloud, network, and security implementations.

- Conduct System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) to validate interoperability and readiness before full-scale deployment.

- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, CMMC 2.0, and DISA STIG requirements.

- Utilize AI-driven analytics and network monitoring tools to identify and mitigate performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.

- Support IPv6 transition testing to ensure seamless integration into the evolving DoD network architecture.

- Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to ensure all system components meet accreditation and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.

- Document and analyze test results, providing actionable recommendations for system enhancements and risk mitigation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience overseeing hybrid software, web, and hardware environments.
  • Strong expertise in test methodologies, performance evaluation, and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in DoD security compliance testing and accreditation processes.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and AI-driven analytics for system evaluation.
  • US citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD testing standards, including STIG compliance and RMF accreditation.
  • Familiarity with network testing tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, ACAS, and Splunk.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven threat detection and predictive analytics tools for network security validation.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust security principles and how they impact testing strategies.
  • Familiarity with NEN, ONE-NET, NMCI, or similar Navy IT environments.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $95,500.00 - USD $149,200.00 /Yr.
