As a Test Engineer I, you will be responsible for supporting the test and certification of advanced aerospace and defense products. Your role will involve developing and executing basic test plans and procedures to ensure product requirements are met. This position will also require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize industry-standard tools to perform tests on components and systems.
Our testing approach evolves with the design maturity, extending from initial stages through to post-production follow-ups on subsequent articles.
The role involves extensive system testing, aimed at assessing a broad spectrum of mission equipment such as communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems, to ensure they meet design and functionality standards.
Please note, this role does not require any knowledge or skills related to software or automation testing.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
- Perform basic testing and validation of components and systems/sub-systems.
- Record and analyze test data, providing initial reports on test results.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test requirements are understood and met.
- Maintain test equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Participate in internal/external meetings and briefs.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field.
- 0-2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
- Basic understanding of requirements, testing principles, and methodologies.
- Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration.
- Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:- Internship or project experience in aerospace or defense industry.
- Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing.
- Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements.
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Ability to work in an office, lab, hangar, or offsite environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
