Job Purpose

The Test Engineer I within the Precision Electronics department is responsible for hands-on verification testing of software on agricultural equipment, conducted primarily in real-world field environments. This role involves direct interaction with machines, instrumentation, and operating conditions, with additional bench-level testing used to support machine-based verification activities. The position collaborates with systems and software engineering teams to ensure that software design and implementation meet defined requirements and performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform verification testing of embedded software on agricultural equipment in field and bench environments
  • Analyze and review system requirements to develop test strategies and plans
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases and procedures aligned with feature functionality and performance expectations
  • Analyze test results and failures, perform root cause investigation, and distinguish between test issues and product defects
  • Create, maintain, and communicate test reports and quality status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, test results, and identified defects
  • Collaborate with systems engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure complete verification coverage
  • Support coordination of test activities with internal teams and external partners, as required
  • Identify and contribute to improvements in test processes, methodologies, and tools


Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including defect documentation and test reporting
  • Ability to safely access and operate agricultural equipment in both field and shop environments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment operations and farming practices
  • Experience with tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe
  • Background in electronics prototyping or wiring harness development


Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is $63,750 - $97,750 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
