Full Job Description
AFS is seeking a Test Engineer, for an onsite position in Lorton, VA.

The Work:

  • Perform test events including System Integration & Dry Run (SIDR), System Integration Test (SIT), User Acceptance Test (UAT), Site Validation Test, and Mission Acceptance Test.
  • Conduct formal test reviews such as Test Readiness Reviews and Post-Test Reviews.
  • Execute test strategy activities including Requirements Verification & System Validation, Customer Requirements Validation, Test Case Development, Test Incident Identification & Management, Test Incident Reporting (TIR), and Test Metrics Management.
  • Compile or develop manual and/or automated test cases for the Test Plan.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects in alignment with Test Lead guidance.
  • Execute tests in accordance with the approved Test Plan.
  • Prepare and deliver regular test status updates to the Test Lead.
  • Input test results into applicable test management tools and track execution progress.
  • Evaluate testing software/tools and recommend alternative solutions as needed.

Here's what you need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a related technical field, including at least 3 years in systems administration with a focus on Windows Server technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 certification or equivalent knowledge)
  • Experience with Windows Server technologies including Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, and PowerShell
  • Experience working within small technical teams with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Ability to support Microsoft Information Request SAF/AQ Project Order requirements
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II (or higher) certification required upon start
  • A valid US passport

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Watir, TestComplete, or LoginEnterprise
  • Working knowledge of testing frameworks including Cypress, Jasmine, Selenium, or Pester
  • Experience authoring test cases and documenting test results
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software testing processes
  • Understanding of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and version control systems (GitHub, Azure DevOps)

Security Clearance:
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
