Collins Aerospace is seeking a Test and Validation Engineer to support production and engineering activity within a highly technical semiconductor environment. In this individual contributor role, you will help ensure products and equipment meet required performance, quality, and documentation standards through hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and validation work. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, analyzing test data, and working closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support both current production needs and new product development.
In this role, you will perform acceptance and design verification testing, including burn-in and temperature testing, while documenting results through required test forms, travelers, and work order records. You will collect and process data manually and electronically using data acquisition equipment, create charts and tables to support analysis, and troubleshoot new production units using electrical and mechanical test equipment. You will also review engineering and manufacturing documentation for accuracy and conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and functional inspections in alignment with company quality and inspection guidelines.
What You Will Do:
- Complete acceptance and Design Verification testing, burn-in and temperature as per testing procedures and guidance from Engineering
- Complete all necessary Acceptance Test Forms
- Collect Data Manually and Electronically using Data Acquisition Equipment and create charts and tables using Excel and other software
- Detailed troubleshooting of new Production units
- Completion of all internal travelers and work order information to document complete test process
- Review all engineering and manufacturing documentation for complete accuracy of unit completion
- Follow companys inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials
- Performs Acceptance Test Procedure/Plan (ATP). Verifies apparatus and equipment for conformance to electrical, mechanical and other requirements using various kinds of electrical and mechanical test equipment
What You Will Learn:
- Hands-on use of data acquisition equipment to collect, organize, and analyze test results
- Data processing techniques, including creating charts, tables, and reports to support engineering decisions
- Project management fundamentals through exposure to production timelines, technical projects, and cross-functional coordination
- Refrigeration and chiller system design concepts within a technical manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing processes used to support testing, validation, troubleshooting, and product completion
- ISO 9001 quality practices, including documentation accuracy, inspection standards, and process compliance
- Environmental Health and Safety practices related to testing, production, and equipment handling
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Experience testing chiller systems or related thermal management equipment

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
