Job Description:

ITW Residential & Renovation division is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to join our sales team. The Sales Representative develops, maintains, and expands customer relationships within an assigned territory and is responsible for achieving sales quotas and profitability objectives. The Sales Representative represents the ITW Power Nailing, Structural Fastening, and Mechanical Fastening brands to assigned customers and drives results through the development and implementation of territory and key account plans to support national and regional sales initiatives.

This role may be based in Charlotte or Raleigh, North Carolina.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Primarily focuses on high potential lumberyard, hardware and distribution partners in their territory and establishes relationships with decision makers by calling on the headquarters as well as individual locations generating a top down as well as bottom up sell in approach
  • Grow sales with key lumberyards in territory through store training, demos, shelf management, and demand creation with key end users
  • Onsite Sales demonstrations with end-users showcasing ITW product's value prop
  • Working with sales manager, build relationships with and conduct quarterly business reviews with distributor partners in territory to drive adoption of programs and promotions to drive sales.
  • Assists in developing on-going/continuous market and competitive analysis (e.g. pricing, promotions, new products, new applications, etc.) of the territory by obtaining intelligence through multiple sources and participation in development of tactical and strategic territory plans
  • Analyzes territory customers and sales insights to create demand and pull through of ITW products
  • Actively works to enhance territory margin and market share by aggressive marketing to distributors, dealers, and key end users and implementation of regional/national account initiatives
  • Keeps an active pipeline of new and existing customers and opportunities utilizing salesforce.com.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and maintain a clean driving record
  • Travel required; local and up to 75% overnight (company lease vehicle provided)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Position requires approximately 75% travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Compensation Information:

Annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 with bonus. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
