Role OverviewThe Territory Sales Manager drives dealer management, sales growth, and business development across the Southeast region. In this role, you will champion dealer sales initiatives, expand key accounts, and increase equipment market share throughout your designated territory. The ideal candidate blends technical aggregate applications expertise with strong relationship-management skills to support our distributor networks and direct end-users.
Territory Coverage: Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
Candidate Location: Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
Note: Residence differs from assigned Sales Territory (GA, AL, MS, FL)
Eligibility: Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Equipment Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities- Distributor & Dealer Management
- Channel Support: Partner with dealer networks across the territory to develop annual budgets, lead training initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct periodic performance reviews in alignment with the Channel Sales Manager to optimize dealer engagement.
- Field Sales & Business Development
- Account Acquisition: Proactively prospect, target, and convert new regional accounts.
- Field Execution: Conduct high-impact field sales calls independently or alongside dealers, targeting aggregate producers, OEMs, EPC firms, and direct end-users.
- Technical Sales & Applications
- Opportunity Development: Review and build accurate opportunities for aggregate processing and material handling equipment.
- Application Design: Gather critical application data to guide custom engineering considerations, plant flowsheets, and freight logistics.
- Market Intelligence & Internal Collaboration
- Feedback Loop: Gather competitive field intelligence and deliver direct feedback to internal engineering and product teams regarding market trends and equipment updates.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with internal departments to streamline field sales initiatives across the 4-state footprint.
- CRM & Pipeline Operations
- Pipeline Management: Maintain rigorous, real-time sales pipelines, account records, and activity tracking within Salesforce.
- Order Tracking: Track sold orders against production schedules and proactively communicate potential issues to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements- Location: Must reside within the 4-state footprint (GA, AL, NC, or SC).
- Industry Experience: Minimum 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience with aggregate processing equipment, material handling systems, and related applications (Required).
- Technical Competency: Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and plant flowsheets.
- Sales Background: Demonstrated success in capital equipment sales and dealer/distributor channel management.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; Associate Degree or Technical Diploma paired with substantial industry experience will be considered.
- Travel & Safety: Willingness to travel 50% - 70% throughout the territory. Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain the physical ability to safely navigate industrial, mining, and quarry environments.
- Software Proficiency: Highly proficient with Salesforce (CRM), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail), and Microsoft Office.
