Territory ManagerJOB SUMMARY:Evaluates, mentors and provides leadership to the sales associates at the branch locations; leads the core sales effort and initiatives so that corporate sales goals are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Hires, trains, supervises, mentors, motivates, and evaluates Account Managers.
- Develops annual core sales budget. Responsible for P&L of the Core Sales Department.
- Designs and implements strategies to ensure performance/sales goals are met.
- Assists Account Managers in closing business when appropriate.
- Determines pricing levels, develops and implements sales strategies, and selects among approved suppliers relative to sales orders.
- Schedules and leads sales strategy and performance meetings on a regular basis.
- Represents the Sales Department and Company in a professional, ethical, and impressive manner.
- Develops systematic methods for managing sales team member activities; evaluates, develops and maintains processes to ensure smooth day-to-day branch operations.
- Collaborates with departmental leaders when necessary to achieve effective, prudent operational decisions are made with regard to non-sales branch transactions.
- Assumes responsibility of branch, including but not limited to, indirect supervision, evaluation, and mentoring of non-sales staff.
- Acts as liaison between non-sales staff and supervisors/managers, escalating issues as they arise. Provides valuable feedback to supervisors/managers relative to non-sales staff performance, duties, and areas of opportunity.
- Ensures company policies and procedures are followed by all team members at Branch locations.
- Monitors branch office morale; escalates any concerns to the HR department; works with HR and Department Heads to address any open issues.
- Manages/monitors branch "image," ensuring the highest levels of professionalism in all interactions, both internal and external.
- Bachelor's Degree required. 7-10 years successful sales experience required.
- 3-5 years relevant industry sales experience preferred.
- 2- 3 years successful outside sales management experience required.
- Experience in General Management/managing cross-functional teams highly desirable.
