Job Title: Territory Manager (Veterinary Channel)

Location: Remote in the field position - Ottawa and surrounding areas

What to Expect

As a Territory Manager, Veterinary Channel, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with veterinarians and clinic staff across the assigned territory to drive sales and increase Purina's presence with existing and new customers. You will promote Purina's therapeutic portfolio, support key platform events, educate clinics on our products and nutritional benefits, conduct business reviews, and develop strategic territory plans to meet sales targets. This position is an existing vacancy.

A day in the life:

Accountable for Regional Sales within the territory and execution of territory plan:
  • Conduct clinic business reviews using Power BI, reports, the online portal, and other internal tools to identify insights and opportunities.
  • Develop, execute, track, and adapt the territory plan to support business priorities.
  • Create clinic business plans to support account growth.
  • Support working capital by reducing Days Deduction Outstanding and NPP Bad Goods.

Accountable for territory veterinary sales & advocacy impact to sales and account management:
  • Position Purina as a trusted veterinary diet company and influence veterinarians to recommend Purina products.
  • Deliver veterinary education seminars on pet nutrition and Purina products for healthy and sick animals.
  • Apply strong nutritional knowledge to support clinic recommendations and influence the sales environment.

Sales Clinic Coverage:

  • Ensure efficient call frequency and account coverage across the territory.
  • Identify and drive incremental sales opportunities in clinics to enhance distribution and penetration in line with the Regional Strategic Plan.
  • Manage CRM updates and reporting.
  • Report on field activity and competitor actions.
  • Execute territory promotional strategies and provide pre- and post-evaluation feedback.


Role Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or sales representation, with a proven track record of delivering business results in the CPG or healthcare industry.
  • Valid full driver's license, safe driving record, and ability to reside within the assigned territory and travel frequently as required.
  • Must reside within the Ottawa, Ontario territory or be willing to relocate prior to the start date.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Science, or a related field, with strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to think strategically and identify incremental business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation Range: CAD 80,000 to CAD 95,000 + bonus eligibility
