The Tender Manager will be responsible preparing professionally compiled tenders for the scope around Data Center Infrastructure (including electrical distribution, power monitoring, and control) and Secure Power Infrastructure (UPS, PDU, Cooling). You will need to have a good understanding of finance and legal contracts. The primary function of the position is to work closely with sales, operations, technical teams, quotations, risk management, finance and legal personnel to confirm positive business opportunities, prepare professionally compiled assessments to limit commercial and project execution risk, and accurately cost and price the scope of work for each project opportunity.
What will you do?- Establish processes for tender management lifecycle
- Help set up master supply/purchase agreement with the customer
- Promote, influence, prescribe Schneider Electric technology & value-add to maximize chance of success during tender stage.
- Manage the pipeline of opportunities to be tendered with the account and ensure with relevant internal stakeholders that Schneider Electric has the right capacity/competency to meet the demand
- Be the single point of contact to the account team and customer during the offer preparation and ensure the offer gets submitted before customer deadline while meeting company processes.
- Contribute to the tender strategy definition with the account team, define the tendering team (local/regional/global) as well as the tender budget
- With the support of the technical leader, ensure the commercial and technical solution offered meets customer key success criteria (price, leadtime, consistency with previous offers)
- Ensure lessons learned gathered from previous tender/project are implemented
- With the support of the Subject Matters Experts (Finance, Contract mgt, Tax,...) oversee the position to be taken on a contractual, tax, finance aspects.
- Lead / oversee the overall risk assessment & mitigation plans
- Remain in constant communication with the account team to make sure the offer being prepared meets key success criteria
- Lead the internal tender review and internal approval process before submitting the offer to customer
- Work with the tendering and execution teams to develop the estimated timeline an execution plan for the project
What skills and capabilities will make you successful? - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus
- Finance and contracts knowledge and experience recommended
- Sales, project negotiation, project or customer management experience recommended
- Rechnical experience in power, IT, or monitoring/control in a data center environment is a plus
- Strong communication, teamwork, and project coordination skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, manage multiple priorities effectively, and adapt to evolving project requirements and customer expectations
- 5+ years of relevant experience is recommended

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $117,600 - $176, 400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
