As a Temperature and Environmental Controls Advanced Field Service Engineer here at Honeywell, you will provide advanced technical support and expertise to customers within the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of solutions, and driving a high level of customer satisfaction.

We are seeking an experienced field service professional with advanced expertise in SAIA Burgess PLCs to support complex HVAC, air handling, and industrial temperature control systems across critical customer sites. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who excels in troubleshooting, system integration, and delivering exceptional onsite service.

Your technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and commitment to excellence will play a key role in the success of our field service operations and the continued growth of our business.

You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Denver, Colorado location on an onsite work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Air Systems, HVAC & Temperature Controls
  • Oversee field service operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery for air systems and environmental controls.
  • Provide advanced technical expertise for air handling units, ventilation systems, VAVs, and industrial temperature control systems, both remotely and onsite.
  • Perform temperature controls testing, balancing, and commissioning in accordance with specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving sensors, actuators, control networks, communication paths, and system integration.
  • Program and optimize air systems control sequences using SAIA Burgess PLCs and associated software tools.
  • Execute project-based installations and, when required by contract, perform customer service repairs, system tuning, and operational testing.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of inspections, tests, configurations, and service actions.

Controls & PLC Systems
  • Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for PMI Plant Solutions, with a strong emphasis on SAIA Burgess PLCs used in air systems and environmental controls.
  • Provide customer training on system operation, configuration, and calibration for HVAC and air systems controls.
  • Coordinate with engineering, service management, and customer teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely issue resolution.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Advanced hands-on experience with SAIA Burgess PLCs (required).
  • 5-8 years of experience in HVAC controls, air systems, industrial automation, or controls engineering.
  • Customer-facing experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in Industrial Automation technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in project management and execution
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships

The annual base salary range for this position is $87,200 - $109,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
