As a Telemedicine Support Veterinarian, you will provide clinical consultation and diagnostic support to veterinary professionals using telemedicine services, helping ensure high-quality, timely, and customer-focused care.


The Telemedicine team partners closely with customers, veterinary specialists, and internal support teams to deliver exceptional diagnostic support and education. In this role, you will serve as a trusted clinical resource, helping customers better understand diagnostic imaging reports, submission protocols, and specialty consultation services while contributing to the continued growth and success of IDEXX Telemedicine offerings.

This is a fully remote, home-office-based role working Tuesday through Saturday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM PST. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on advancing diagnostic imaging and specialty consultation services while supporting veterinarians in delivering exceptional patient care.

In this role:

  • You will provide consultation and support to telemedicine customers regarding medical questions related to completed diagnostic imaging reports.

  • You’ll guide customers on appropriate case submission protocols, including diagnostic imaging procedures and available specialty resources.

  • You will partner with radiology, cardiology, and specialty teams to help ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

  • You’ll support customer education by explaining specialist findings, diagnostic technologies, and imaging recommendations.

  • You will proactively contribute to telemedicine product initiatives by creating, reviewing, and enhancing customer-facing and specialist-facing technical materials.

  • You’ll collaborate with internal teams including Customer Support, Marketing, and clinical specialists on projects that improve services and customer outcomes.

  • You will participate in regular team meetings to share knowledge, discuss customer needs, and stay current on service enhancements and medical developments.

  • You’ll help strengthen customer relationships through responsive communication, effective problem-solving, and trusted clinical guidance.

Schedule:

Tuesday through Saturday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. 8-hour shifts plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Flexibility to work occasional Sundays and holidays may be required based on business needs.

What you need to succeed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree.

  • 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience.

  • Strong clinical judgment and confident case management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted customer relationships.

  • Exceptional customer service and business relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to interpret and apply information from specialist reports, diagnostic technologies, and clinical protocols.
