Responsibilities

Job Description
In this position, the Engineer will manage personal tasks assigned on nuclear facility documented safety analysis (DSA) and technical safety requirements (TSR) updates, revisions, or creation. Engineer will perform detailed nuclear facility safety analyses and documents analyses in accordance with company quality standards. Engineer independently identifies D SA commitments and derives TSRs to ensure hazardous and radioactive material releases are prevented or mitigated. Engineer ensures DSA and T SR revisions accurately reflect the facility configuration and establish the necessary controls. Engineer supports nuclear facility operation which includes reviews of procedures, operational events, and facility modifications and support DSA and TSR implementation. Nuclear Safety Analyst Engineer prepares experiment safely analyses for nuclear experiments to be irradiated in the Advanced Test Reactor (ATR). The experiment safety analyses include comprehensive hazard analysis and risk assessment of test handling, irradiation, reac tor safety, and post-irradiation handling and safety assurance supporting the safe and e onomical operation of the ATR. Engineer will take inititave to provide technical peer reviews of experiments safety analyses, design reviews for new campaigns, and technical advice for management and reactor experiment customers.

Experience and Skills
  • Baccalaureate of Science in Engineering and four years related experience, OR MS degree and 2 years related experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE L Clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have Nuclear experience
