Full Job Description
ASSYST is seeking a Technology Project Manager with strong customer-facing technology project management experience to support technology initiatives involving requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, procurement, and project implementation.

The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with technology users and multiple project stakeholders, including experience with at least one police department or other law enforcement agency. This role requires strong documentation, communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with a focus on ensuring project deliverables and post-project production support needs are fully addressed.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a Project Implementation Plan and Schedule.
  • Identify relevant technology requirements and contract details.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders through a review of business units and personnel.
  • Conduct a Needs Assessment of the client's technical scope and requirements through discussions with stakeholders.
  • Work directly with technology users to gather, document, and analyze technology requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers and multiple project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bid.
  • Produce a final RFP and Invitation for Bid for the procurement of public safety software, hardware, and professional services.
  • Ensure project documentation comprehensively addresses implementation and ongoing production support needs.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Present project information, requirements, findings, and recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
  • Manage multiple priorities while adapting to changing project requirements and timelines.
Required Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of customer-facing technology project management experience.
  • Experience working on at least 3 technology projects involving technology users and requirements gathering.
  • Experience on at least 1 project involving a police department or other law enforcement agency.
  • Experience with at least 3 meaningful RFP engagements, including at least 1 RFP as the primary author.
  • Strong experience with customer and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong documentation skills with a focus on project implementation and production support requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience creating and working with Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
