We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our dynamic and growing Programs and Construction Management (PMCM) team. The ideal candidate will be working closely with Controls Specialists and Controls Managers to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets by developing dashboards and reports to help inform business decisions. In this role, you will also work closely with Controls Leadership to develop and implement standards for technology usage within the group and linking component subsystems to work together as a coherent unit for program management.
Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain comprehensive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.
- Collect and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Use statistical methods to interpret data and generate useful business reports.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and cleaning processes.
- Collaborate with the Controls team and other teams to resolve data-related issues.
- Assist with Business Process development regarding data gathering and analysis
QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials- Ability to work with large complex data models
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI is strongly preferred, but similar alternatives may be considered).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task, manage time, organize, set priorities, and make timely decisions.
- Experience with large public sector programs in water or transportation
- Prior work in project controls
- Experience with API calls and management (e.g., REST)
- Experience with Middleware tools (e.g., Boomi, Power Automate)
- Previous leadership and management of team
- Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering)
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong Power BI (or similar) experience is required.
- Industry-specific knowledge and experience (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction).

About the TeamPay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
