What You'll Do

Are you passionate about technology asset management and thrive in a fast-paced environment where organization, accuracy, and customer service make a real impact?

As a NY Technology Asset Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the full lifecycle of technology assets across the New York office. Working closely with Asset Leads and technology teams, you will help shape and implement asset management standards, ensure inventory accuracy, support procurement activities, and provide exceptional service to end users. This is an opportunity to influence operational excellence, maintain data integrity, and help ensure employees have the technology resources they need to succeed.

This position requires 100% onsite presence in the New York office. Occasional travel may be required.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of technology assets, including procurement, receiving, inventory tracking, assignment, relocation, and end-of-life disposition.
  • Process & Policy Development: Help develop, implement, and maintain asset management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices across technology teams.
  • Inventory Ownership: Manage and maintain accurate physical and system-based asset inventories using the firm's asset management platform.
  • Procurement Support: Process asset requests, create purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and ensure assets are available to meet business needs.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Monitor asset records for accuracy, enforce asset management standards, and ensure adherence to established policies and controls.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Perform cost-benefit and risk analysis to support asset management decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for asset-related questions, inventory updates, data corrections, and equipment requests.
  • Product Catalog Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating the technology asset catalog to ensure accurate and current information.
  • Issue Resolution: Research, troubleshoot, and resolve asset-related issues independently or escalate appropriately when necessary.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Document processes, procedures, findings, and solutions to support continuous improvement and team effectiveness.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with technology teams and stakeholders, contribute to resolving challenges collaboratively, and support team success through knowledge sharing and positive engagement.
  • Service Management: Utilize the ServiceNow ticket management system to track requests, maintain ownership, and deliver timely support.
  • Quality & Confidentiality: Follow documented procedures, quality control standards, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling firm information and technology assets.
  • Operational Support: Participate in after-hours support, on-call rotations, and overtime activities as business needs require.

What You'll Bring
  • Education: Degree, certification, or equivalent technical qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of directly related experience in technology asset management, inventory management, or a similar technology support role within a professional services environment.
  • Asset Management Expertise: Knowledge of asset planning, inventory management, procurement processes, asset lifecycle management, and governance best practices.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365 (M365), hardware, peripheral devices, networking components, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze data, maintain records, and support reporting activities.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Proven ability to provide responsive, professional, and solutions-focused support to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organization & Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and uphold data integrity in high-volume environments.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and resolve issues effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and the ability to evaluate information, identify risks, and make informed decisions.
  • Enterprise Technology Experience: Familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Intune, ServiceNow, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Citrix, Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions, mobile device management tools, conferencing platforms, and laptop and desktop hardware.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in New York City. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary.
