Summary

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Department (WX), Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Division (WXS) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER located at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, WA.

The NT-05 pay band is equivalent to the GS-13/14.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $155,521).

Duties

Help

  • You will serve as the EA-18G Fleet Integration and Design Influence Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading technical integration and fleet introduction of Advanced Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) weapons systems.
  • You will direct transition of developmental systems into operational Fleet squadron, verifying that training, Support Equipment (SE), and technical data are fully operational and mission-effective.
  • You will act as the primary technical authority representing Fleet interests during the system design phase.
  • You will critique engineering drawings, technical specifications, and system architectures to ensure operational suitability, reliability, maintainability, and supportability are integrated early in the acquisition lifecycle.
  • You will serve as primary liaison between program offices, engineering activities, test squadrons, training commands, and Fleet operators on all maintenance and supportability of systems being introduced to the fleet.
  • You will serve as the Electronics Technician SME for current EA-18G fielded systems and subsystems, provide feedback, improve repair practices/procedures, and streamline improved automated maintenance data collection.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing technical electronic evaluation of new or modified engineering designs, evaluating life-cycle logistics data to resolve issues with design, testing, capability of integrated Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) weapons systems for improved weapon system programs supporting technological advancement and sustainment of the fleet.
