Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and function test fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and powerplant systems for aircraft certification and flight readiness.
  • Support flight operations following defined procedures and policies.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and structures as needed.
  • Source and follow technical documentation, including procedures and drawings, for carrying out duties.
  • Meet ramp safety requirements at controlled aerodromes and ensure compliance.
  • Operate a vehicle within controlled aerodrome environments for preflight activities.
  • Conduct certification duties in accordance with Bombardier's Quality and Maintenance Policy Manuals.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • The duties shall include preparation and functioning of fuel, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and powerplant systems as it relates to preparing the aircraft for flight, and certification.
  • Shall support Flight operations in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Shall be capable of carrying out duties of any lower classification as it relates to aircraft assembly i.e sealing, sheet metal, electrical. In accordance with the aforementioned duties the duties should also include any trouble shooting/maintenance and/or repair of said structure/ systems to meet the defined airworthiness requirements of the product.
  • Must be capable of sourcing and following procedures, drawings, and production methods in accordance with carrying out duties. Must be capable of operating in all weather conditions to support Preflight activities.
  • Must be capable of meeting ramp and safety requirements at any controlled aerodrome.
  • Must be capable of acquiring and mai taining a Restricted Radio Operator License.
  • Must be capable of operating a vehicle within any controlled aerodrome.
  • All Flight Service Engineers must be capable of performing certification duties on behalf of the company in accordance with the established Bombardier Quality Manual and
  • Maintenance Policy Manual and may acquire an Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) signatory approval when required.

  • Ability to work afternoon and night shift
  • Ability to work at Mississauga or Waterloo site


The hourly wage for this position is CAD $50.70 in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
