What you'll do...
Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to support operational needs, leads technical training, and manages service calls using digital tools. Adherence to company policies, safety standards, and effective communication with customers are essential to delivering reliable facility services.
What you'll do:
  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.
  • Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, documentation, and coordinate with external providers as needed.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Skilled in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Effective communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lead and mentor field teams while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
