Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a technical content and editorial strategy aligned to Frontier Company business priorities, customer outcomes, audience needs, and key moments.


  • Serve as the lead editor and quality bar for technical content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with approved messaging.


  • Write, edit, and adapt content across formats, including technical articles, white papers, executive narratives, customer stories, web content, event materials, briefing documents, and internal guidance.


  • Interview engineers, industry leaders, customers, partners, and executives to uncover insights, validate claims, and translate technical detail into credible stories and points of view.


  • Create and maintain editorial standards, terminology, voice, templates, source-of-truth materials, and review processes that enable consistent content across teams and agencies.


  • Partner with legal, privacy, responsible AI, brand, and other reviewers to ensure content meets Microsoft standards and appropriately handles customer and technical information.


  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, editorial calendars, review cycles, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and quality.


  • Use performance insights, audience feedback, and emerging business priorities to improve the content strategy, editorial standards, and portfolio over time.


Successful Candidate will be:

  • Strategic and audience-focused writer and editor who can shape a clear point of view, not simply capture source material.


  • Working knowledge of cloud, AI, data, security, and enterprise technology, with the curiosity to quickly learn unfamiliar technical and industry domains.


  • Required writing, structural editing, copyediting, and storytelling skills, with an ability to make complex subjects accessible without sacrificing accuracy or nuance.


  • Skilled at interviewing executives, engineers, customers, and subject-matter experts; identifying the essential story; and constructively challenging unclear or unsupported claims.


  • Collaborative and able to influence across functions, reconcile competing feedback, and maintain editorial quality in a fast-moving environment.


  • Required judgment, intellectual curiosity, initiative, and the ability to manage priorities independently in an evolving organization.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, a technical discipline or related field AND 4+ years technical writing, technical editing, content strategy, journalism, or communications for enterprise technology, cloud, AI, engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience


Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing content with senior executives and technical subject-matter experts in fast-paced, complex, and often ambiguous environments.


  • A portfolio of published or professional writing and editing samples that demonstrates technical depth, editorial judgment, and range across formats.


Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
