The Opportunity:
Join a fast-paced Agile development program as a key contributor on our Platform team. We are looking for a versatile and detail0oriented professional to serve as both a Technical Writer and Configuration/Change Manager. In this dual-impact role, you9ll shape how our teams communicate, document, and manage evolving cloud-based solutions in a secure AWS environment. You will play a vital part in ensuring our program9s accuracy, compliance, and technical excellence00while influencing processes that support mission delivery for a government customer.
Responsibilities:
Technical Writing
Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation including admin installation guides, API references, system architecture diagrams, and other artifacts.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical inputs and validate content accuracy.
Keep documentation current and aligned to ongoing system updates and releases.
Create and maintain security and compliance documentation required for Authority to Operate (ATO) within a government program.
Configuration and Change Management
Establish and maintain CM policies, procedures, and Configuration Management Plans (CMPs) in alignment with government and industry standards (IEEE, ISO, MIL-STD-973, EIA0649).
Define configuration identification schemes and naming conventions for Configuration Items (CIs).
Conduct CI audits, reviews, and verification activities to ensure traceability and accuracy.
Manage functional, allocated, and product baselines across the system development lifecycle.
Coordinate release planning, deployment activities, and support government oversight reviews.
Ensure CM processes integrate seamlessly with SAFe/Agile practices in scaled environments.
AWS Cloud Environment
Qualifications:
Required:
Active Secret Clearance.
3+ years of experience in configuration management for complex technical systems, including managing baselines and change control.
3+ years of experience in technical writing, supported by a portfolio of published technical documents.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and workflows, including GitLab.
Bachelor9s degree or equivalent experience.
Certification or formal training relevant to technical writing, configuration management, cloud technologies, or related fields.
Desired:
Experience supporting government programs or regulated environments.
Familiarity with ATO processes and federal compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and infrastructure documentation.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across engineering, DevOps, and program management teams.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced Agile environments with evolving priorities.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
