Job DescriptionThis position is with GRI Engineering and Development, LLC, a division of MAT Holdings, Inc. GRIE holds a significant market share of the aftermarket braking segment. Offering a complete line of brake rotors, drums, and friction components, GRIE has created a reputation for supplying high-quality finished components to the off-road and heavy-duty vehicle market. This position is responsible for training the automotive brake pad customers. We are currently looking for a high-energy, dynamic individual.This role has responsibility for the Canadian region.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery- Conduct technical training sessions across Canada.
- Deliver classroom and virtual training programs.
- Create and maintain training materials and curriculum.
- Facilitate regional and national training events.
Field Support- Visit stores, commercial customers, and distribution facilities.
- Support field sales and commercial account teams.
- Conduct ride-alongs and customer visits.
- Provide technical product support and troubleshooting assistance.
Technical Expertise- Act as the primary automotive technical resource.
- Present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current on automotive technologies and industry trends.
Relationship Management- Build strong relationships with stores, commercial customers, suppliers, and business partners.
- Support supplier-sponsored training initiatives.
- Promote customer engagement and product awareness.
Reporting and Administration- Track training activities and participation.
- Measure training effectiveness and business impact.
- Submit regular activity and performance reports.
QualificationsRequiredExperience- Minimum five (5) years of automotive industry experience.
- Experience in automotive repair, dealership operations, aftermarket parts, technical support, or related field.
- Proven ability to deliver training and presentations.
Education- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and automotive experience.
Language Requirements- Bilingual in English and French.
Technical Knowledge- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics.
- Understanding of aftermarket automotive products and applications.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
- Relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual training platforms.
Preferred Qualifications- ASE Certification.
- Red Seal Certification.
- Previous Technical Trainer experience.
- Adult Learning or Instructional Training experience.
The salary range for this position is CAD $100,000 to CAD $110,000. Final compensation will be based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, and relevant skills.
