Full Job Description
As a Technical Talent Partner, you will build teams for Base's software and embedded engineering teams. You will run full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer close, partner directly with engineering leaders to scope roles and build focused interview processes, and move fast without compromising quality. You'll have a hand in building one of the fastest growing companies in America. Help us build the future of American power.
What You'll Do
• Own full-cycle recruiting: run end-to-end hiring for software and embedded engineering roles, from sourcing to offer close.
• Source and engage talent: build pipelines of strong engineers, including passive candidates, in competitive technical markets.
• Go deep on the technical bar: understand what separates roles like firmware, embedded systems, and backend engineering well enough to screen for it and speak credibly with candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers: work with engineering leaders to scope roles, define interview loops, and calibrate on what excellent looks like for each one.
• Champion candidate experience: keep candidates informed at every stage, so every candidate, hired or not, leaves with a positive view of Base.
• Run on data: track pipeline health, time-to-fill, and stage conversion, and use that data to find bottlenecks and improve the process.
• Move at Base pace: manage a high volume of open roles at once and make sound, fast decisions.
What You'll Bring
• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience with a track record of closing engineers.
• Experience recruiting in complex, hardware-adjacent environments, such as hardware and software, robotics, IoT, or manufacturing-driven companies.
• Proven ability to source, engage, and close candidates in competitive markets.
• Strong technical acumen: you go deep enough to evaluate real signal, whether that's through technical conversations, portfolio review, or knowing what good code actually looks like.
• A data-driven approach to recruiting: you track pipeline metrics and use them to make decisions, not just to report status.
• Comfort with ambiguity: you build processes where none exist and adjust quickly as priorities shift.
• Sound judgment under pace: you move fast without sacrificing candidate experience or the technical bar.
Please note: Base is a startup, which means priorities shift and evolve quickly. Your role may expand or change based on the needs of the business at any given time, so the responsibilities listed may not be exhaustive.
