Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Senior Technical Leader role requires review and judgment of risk for complex market problems impacting the responsible categories. Progress review of active investigations along with prioritizing resources and analysis actions in order to optimize problem solving speed and meet business goals is essential to this role. Communication of complex issues to key decision makers (CIEs/Quality Leaders). Work with related organizations to propose and coordinate market remedies in order to resolve quality problems for customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluate problem complexity, rank, and market assessment in order to assess risk (regulation, safety, business impact). Identify and register critical issues accordingly.

  • Lead complex market problem & P1 resolution projects: Identify organization and path and work with internal and external members to execute activities in order to optimize problem resolution speed.

  • Communicate complex issues to appropriate decision makers regularly (CIE, Quality executives). Conduct detailed, accurate analysis and prepare concise summary of key information such that problem resolution direction can be set (including Market Action options and proposal).

  • Approve the accuracy and completeness of work generated by the responsible analysis teams (DAS, QIS Cause Analysis, NARS report, Market Summary, Closure etc.).

  • Develop category Technical leaders through mentoring and other measures in order to ensure sound technical judgement, complex problem solving capability and leadership throughout the organization.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, electrical technology, mechanical engineering or relevant and strongly-related work experience.


Minimum Experience
  • 12 years Quality related experience; 6 years Technical Leadership experience.


Other Job-Specific Skills
  • Technical complex problem solving, communication, and reporting skills.


Working Conditions

  • Local travel between plants/buildings on Ohio's campuses and/or travel to suppliers will be required.
  • Travel to other N.A. sites for 1-3 day duration; 1-2 times per year.
  • Expected 5-10 hours overtime per week as needed.
  • Majority of work would be performed within NAQC office.
