Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to support our Completions product line throughout our US based operations. This position would be based out of our corporate office in Houston, TX.

PURPOSE:

Supports US operations, product lines, and corporate sales team with a direct focus on completion tools. Generates and captures sales outside the organization at well sites or metropolitan areas by taking orders of existing customers and securing prospective non-member clientele by telephone communication or by visiting. It is essential for the outside sales representative to provide detailed information on various product lines and services offered by the company. Directly involved in the development activities of the product line and driving new sales business, including but not limited to: building and maintaining customer relationships, keeping apprised of competition's initiatives, driving growth, and assisting in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of penetration of new markets.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Expands our product base within existing markets to better assist with changing needs and apply appropriate product solutions.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and quoting prices in a timely manner and accurately.
  • Manages customer accounts regarding sales opportunities, product repair, new product line testing, and addresses all issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.
  • Conducts in-person meetings/presentations and entertain clients.
  • Closes business deals and following-up to ensure satisfaction and consistent service.
  • Proactively networks for new-customer contacts with intention of building long-lasting business relationships. Gather market data and competitor intel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years
  • Related Experience:
    • Extensive knowledge of relevant product lines and services across drilling, completions, and production phases
    • Demonstrated success in new account development and account management
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline
  • Work Experience: 5-10 years
  • Related Experience:
    • Relevant outside sales experience in the oil and gas industry with a proven track record of success in account growth
    • Extensive knowledge of industry clientele in major plays
    • Ability to turn opportunities and leads into sales bookings
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations in a conceptual selling environment
