Job DescriptionWe have an opportunity for a Technical Project Manager II (TPM) to join our Engineering team in Burnaby, Canada, reporting to a Director within Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will guide cross-functional Agile teams to plan and deliver complex technical initiatives that improve our products and customer experiences. Collaborating closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, IT, and other partner teams, you will drive predictable delivery, use data to inform decisions, and foster continuous improvement in how we plan and execute work.
Be a Contributor - What You'll Do - Lead cross-functional Agile teams to deliver complex technical projects on time and with high quality
- Define clear scope, goals, and success measures in partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders
- Create achievable delivery plans that include milestones, dependencies, and resource needs across multiple teams
- Coordinate Agile ceremonies such as planning, backlog refinement, demos, and reviews to keep teams aligned and focused on outcomes
- Identify delivery risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies early and drive mitigation plans to resolution
- Track progress using meaningful delivery metrics and transparently communicate status to stakeholders and leadership
- Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards that connect team performance to customer and business outcomes
- Partner with technical leads, QA, and release engineering to ensure robust testing, validation, and smooth releases
- Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing targeted process and tooling enhancements
- Collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, IT, and other groups to align priorities and enable effective decision-making
Be Prepared - What You Bring - 5 or more years of program or technical project management experience in software or cloud-based product development, or equivalent work experience
- Expertise in Agile delivery, including planning and executing multi-team projects, managing risks and dependencies, and using metrics to guide decisions
- Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, and analytics or BI tools for building dashboards and reports
- Ability to influence outcomes, manage competing priorities, and build strong, trust-based relationships across engineering and business teams
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code
- Adept at managing multiple team members with varying views and strong personalities
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical/electronics/communication engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Skilled communicator able to reduce complex topics to clear language and compelling visualizations
- Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Coach) or a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning in Agile methodologies
Be Successful - Your Path First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.
Six Months: You lead end-to-end delivery for one or more complex initiatives, with clear visibility into predictability, flow, quality, and other key indicators for your teams. You have established strong relationships across Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, IT, and peer TPMs and are a trusted voice in planning and review forums. Your dashboards and delivery metrics are regularly used to steer prioritization, manage risks, and inform trade-offs.
One Year: You are recognized as a go-to TPM for Agile delivery in Burnaby, coaching team members and peers in best practices and effective use of metrics. You regularly assess delivery and flow health for your teams, showing measurable improvements in predictability, flow efficiency, carry-over, and release quality. You play a key role in launching new products, features, or enhancements that strengthen Infoblox's competitive position and customer outcomes.
