Various worksites-job may allow for remote work; job may involve relocation to anticipated or unanticipated locations across the United States, including client sites and Grid Dynamics' offices throughout the United States and/or company headquarters located in San Ramon, CA.

We are actively looking for a Technical Project Manager with excellent technical expertise who is interested in joining our growing team. Join our bright engineering team with open communication, empowerment, innovation, and customer-centric culture.

Essential functions
• Provide technical direction and insights for project planning and execution.
• Make decisions on technology strategies, software development methodologies, and architectural frameworks that align with project goals.
• Develop business requirements for new solutions by studying the market and existing projects.
• Develop project plans that integrate technical activities with project milestones.
• Lead the execution of projects, ensuring technical feasibility, resource optimization, and timely delivery.
• Work in an agile methodology of software development.
• Identify technical risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project scope, schedule, and quality.
• Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients.
• Translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and progress.
• Develop and manage project documentation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project teams composed of diverse technical roles, such as analysts, developers, architects and testers.
• Direct supervision of approximately four Data Scientists and two Software Analysts/Architects.

Qualifications
• Master of Science degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• At least ONE (1) year of experience in the job offered or at least ONE (1) year of experience in the following:

1. Leading a team of at least ten software developers

2. Agile/Scrum project management

3. Python software development and machine learning

4. Technical analysis of client requirements and providing technical consultations to clients

5. Evaluating system architecture and making decisions on technology strategies

6. Production of comprehensive project documentation, such as project plans, requirements specifications, and reports, that are understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
