Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, technically savvy Project Manager to support a critical technology initiative within a complex financial services environment.

This role requires someone who can coordinate multiple teams, drive accountability, remove blockers, and maintain delivery momentum across a large-scale technology landscape. The ideal candidate is highly execution-focused, comfortable working at both a strategic and detailed level, and able to align business and technology stakeholders around priorities, dependencies, and timelines.

The Project Manager does not need to be a developer but must possess sufficient technical expertise to understand architecture, systems, integrations, data flows, dependencies, and technology delivery challenges.

Experience within Capital Markets and a solid understanding of the trade lifecycle are highly preferred. Knowledge of corporate lending and corporate loans would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive day-to-day project execution across technology, business, vendor, and stakeholder teams.
  • Coordinate multiple teams and workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and alignment.
  • Proactively identify, track, and resolve blockers, issues, and dependencies.
  • Maintain project momentum and ensure actions and commitments are completed on schedule.
  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, and critical path activities.
  • Facilitate working sessions, stand-ups, status meetings, and stakeholder updates.
  • Partner closely with developers, architects, infrastructure, data, QA, operations, and business teams.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring requirements, dependencies, and technical impacts are clearly understood.
  • Understand system interfaces, integrations, data flows, environments, testing requirements, release processes, and implementation dependencies.
  • Challenge timelines, assumptions, and estimates when necessary and identify delivery risks early.
  • Coordinate testing, release readiness, implementation, and production deployment activities.
  • Escalate issues effectively when decisions or senior leadership intervention are required.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and key decisions.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of Project Management or Program Management experience leading technology initiatives, preferably within large financial institutions.
  • Proven track record delivering complex technology projects involving multiple teams, systems, and dependencies.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage confidently with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and data teams.
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), APIs, system integrations, data flows, testing methodologies, environments, release management, and production implementation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish structure, governance, and accountability within complex delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior business and technology leaders.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, define a clear path forward, and drive initiatives through successful completion.

Preferred Domain Experience

  • Experience supporting Capital Markets technology initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade capture, validation, enrichment, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and downstream processing.
  • Familiarity with front-office, middle-office, and back-office technology environments.
  • Experience partnering with trading, operations, risk, finance, or regulatory technology teams.
  • Knowledge of corporate lending and corporate loan processes, including origination, servicing, lifecycle events, payments, interest calculations, amendments, and related operational workflows.
