Technical Program Manager

At 3Pillar Global, we're on a mission to craft breakthrough software products that power digital businesses. We're in search of an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead multiple high-performing product development teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in propelling our clients to success through robust governance, exceptional product delivery, and by fostering a culture of product development excellence.

As a beacon of innovation and leadership at 3Pillar, the Technical Program Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating client delight. This is achieved through a relentless focus on achieving client business outcomes, facilitated by leading globally distributed teams in delivering products that transform businesses. Results are a must! Success in your role will be measured via a Delivery scorecard tied to account outcomes and client satisfaction, as well as revenue realization and direct margin targets. This role is expected to be 100% billable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Engagement: Masterfully navigate complex client interactions and co-build agile team structures to ensure project success. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, understanding their needs deeply and aligning our efforts to their business outcomes.
  • Global Project Leadership: Lead global projects and program-level engagements with multiple, cross-functional teams. Your expertise will guide the most complex engagements, integrating multiple work streams and practice areas to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions.
  • Managerial Leadership: Provide supervision, mentorship, and growth opportunities for managers within your engagements or practice area. Your leadership will empower other managers to excel and drive their teams toward excellence.
  • Agile Excellence: Utilize your full-cycle product development expertise and deep understanding of Agile methodologies to drive team efficiency and product quality. Ensure proper account governance and risk management strategies are in place and effectively executed.
  • Delivery and Execution: Demonstrate your ability to manage complex solutions and multi-workstream engagements. Plan, resource, and deliver projects with a data-minded and methodical approach, ensuring accountability across all stages of work.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Full-cycle product development expertise - A proven track record of success in leading global projects and navigating complex client accounts, with at least 10 years of relevant leadership experience in product development.
  • 8+ years leading end-to-end program management for large-scale retail technology transformation initiatives, including POS modernization, store systems, and enterprise platform deployments across thousands of locations.
  • Leadership Skills: 5 years of leadership experience, with an exceptional ability to lead high-performing teams, manage other managers, and influence cross-functional collaboration. Executive-level communication skills are essential for engaging with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated strength in Agile software development methodologies, managing actionable backlogs, and leading technical strategy for engagements. Your background will include significant experience in delivering digital products from conception to launch.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to absorb complex information and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll have a strong understanding of the external business environment and its impact on strategy and operations.
  • Experience defining and maintaining program roadmaps covering feature delivery, release cadence, deployment governance, and post-production support in alignment with business and technology objectives.
  • Experience in designing and implementing deployment strategies (e.g., A/B rollout, phased releases) to minimize production risk and reduce store downtime.
  • Establish program KPIs, metrics, and ROI models; prepare executive and board-level reporting to support investment decisions and transformation funding
  • Experience in identifying and implementing AI-driven operational improvements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Relevant professional certifications and a record of continuous learning in product development and agile practices are highly desirable.
  • Executive level written and verbal english communication skills. Demonstrated success communicating with, influencing, and setting expectations with technical and business stakeholders
  • 5 year of consulting experience, preferably in a professional services firm or in an internal consultancy to executive stakeholders


Additional Experience Desired

  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and drive change
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • While we work nearly 100% remote, occasional travel (~1-2x/year) to 3Pillar sites and client locations will be required in this role to support ongoing team and client engagement
