JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead and mature our OEM and ODM engagement model within the engineering organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and partner management—someone who can bring structure, clarity, and strategic direction to a complex outsourced hardware ecosystem.
In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end relationship with our product development partners, drive operational rigor across our outsourced development model, and collaborate closely with product, engineering and operations teams to translate roadmap priorities into executable plans. Your work will directly influence product quality, time-to-market, and the scalability of our hardware portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Partner & Program Leadership
- Build and manage strong relationships with OEM and ODM partners, acting as the primary technical and operational interface.
- Establish clear communication channels, governance models, and escalation paths to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Drive partner performance through structured reviews, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Process Rigor
- Optimize processes that support an outsourced hardware development model.
- Drive program discipline around planning, execution, risk management, and change control.
- Ensure partners adhere to engineering standards, quality expectations, and compliance requirements.
Roadmap & Portfolio Execution
- Collaborate with product management to translate roadmap priorities into actionable program plans.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations to ensure successful delivery.
- Track program milestones, dependencies, and risks, ensuring transparency and proactive mitigation to meet time to market expectations.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a bridge between internal engineering, product and operations teams and external partners, ensuring technical requirements are understood and met.
- Facilitate design reviews, technical deep dives, and issue‑resolution sessions.
- Influence decision‑making through data‑driven insights and structured program reporting.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Hardware, or related field preferred).
- Proven experience in the technology and manufacturing (T&M) industry, particularly with outsourced engagement models.
- Experience scaling outsourced hardware development programs.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to bring structure and rigor to ambiguous or evolving environments.
- Ability to influence without authority across global, cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international)
