This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (Technical Product Integrator) to own the end-to-end production readiness and vertical integration of core avionics and RF radio assemblies for the Lunar program. This role is the bridge between engineering, the core components business unit, and our Grandview, MO manufacturing site, with a strong emphasis on printed circuit board (PCB) / circuit card assembly (CCA) manufacturing.
You will own the master production schedule, labor and capacity planning, and make/buy/where decisions for your product lines, ensuring that hardware is delivered on time and at quality to support vehicle integration in Florida.

Special Mentions:
  • Position is based in Kent WA; No relocation provided
  • Travel expected up to 5%-10% of the time

Key Responsibilities

Production Integration & Vertical Integration
• Own the master production schedule for assigned core avionics and RF radio products (development, qualification, and flight builds).
• Drive vertical integration of currently outsourced PCB/CCA assemblies into internal manufacturing, partnering closely with engineering, supply chain, and factory teams.
• Lead or heavily contribute to make/buy/where decisions for PCBs/CCAs and related assemblies, balancing cost, risk, capacity, and schedule.
• Translate product and engineering requirements into factory-ready build plans, ensuring tooling, processes, and test capabilities are in place.
Factory Interface & Operations
• Act as the primary interface between the core components team in Kent and the Grandview, MO manufacturing site for your products.
• Partner with planning, operations, and production leads to ensure line readiness, staffing, and material availability.
• Develop and maintain labor and capacity plans (touch labor and support labor) and highlight constraints early.
• Monitor production performance (schedule adherence, yield, rework, scrap) and drive corrective actions with the appropriate teams.
Production Readiness & Execution
• Own the plan to achieve Production Readiness (PR) milestones for your products, from development through rate production.
• Track and communicate schedule variances, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
• Coordinate builds across multiple sites (development in Kent, manufacturing in Grandview, integration in Florida) and ensure alignment on priorities and build sequence.
• Support build reviews, readiness reviews, and factory ramp activities as the accountable TPM for your scope.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as the "bridge builder" between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program management for your product lines.
• Drive cross-functional issue resolution related to design for manufacturability/test (DFM/DFT), build flow, test coverage, and quality escapes.
• Provide clear, structured communication on status, risks, and decisions to leadership and partner teams.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Manufacturing, or related technical field; or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing/operations.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware-focused roles such as:
• Technical Program/Project Manager
• Manufacturing Engineer (electronics)
• Hardware Operations Program Manager
• Product Integrator or similar
• Demonstrated experience working with printed circuit board / circuit card assemblies (PCB/CCA) in a production or NPI environment, such as:
• SMT assembly processes, board-level test, failure analysis, or yield improvement.
• Collaboration with electronics manufacturing facilities or contract manufacturers (EMS/CM).

Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on or direct ownership experience with PCB/CCA manufacturing for complex electronic systems (avionics, RF, communications, or similar).
• Experience leading vertical integration or insourcing efforts: moving hardware from suppliers into internal factories.
• Proven ownership of production schedules, capacity and labor planning, and ramp plans for hardware product lines.
• Experience working across multiple sites, e.g., design/development in one location and manufacturing in another.
• Strong understanding of production readiness milestones and the transition from development to rate production.
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
• Drive decisions on make/buy/where tradeoffs.
• Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders about status, risks, and mitigations.
• Experience in aerospace, avionics, RF, or other safety-critical hardware environments is a plus.

What Success Looks Like
• A stable, executable master production schedule for core avionics/RF assemblies that stays aligned across Kent, Grandview, and Florida.
• On-time, in-full delivery of PCB/CCA-based hardware to vehicle integration, with clear ownership for resolving factory issues.
• A clear and sustainable vertical integration path for key electronic assemblies, reducing reliance on external suppliers while maintaining quality and schedule.
• Positive feedback from engineering and factory partners that you are the single, reliable point of coordination for your product lines.

Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20
