In this role, you will lead the cross-functional alignment of the entire program lifecycle, guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful delivery. Operating within a dynamic matrix environment, you will bridge engineering and operations to ensure complex server hardware initiatives are executed with high reliability and performance.

As a Technology Program Manager II, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting cross-functional teams and providing subject matter expertise in planning and execution of multiple projects and programs
  • Fostering effective communication and maintaining meticulous documentation
  • Reporting on program status, areas of risk/opportunity, process dependencies and success metrics to senior internal stakeholders
  • Engaging regularly with key collaborators, effectively communicating progress, to evaluate and identify business risks, understand priorities and propose solutions
  • Maintaining and nurturing relationships with internal engineering teams, focusing on server hardware components

  • Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
  • Have desire to learn technical skills within server hardware scope
  • Demonstrate experience in program or project management and agile work processes in a cross-functional and technical team
  • Demonstrate autonomy with a solid continuous improvement mindset - proactively identifying solutions to complex challenges,
  • Be action-oriented with solid analytical skills, capable of problem-solving and decision-making, and have the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and be eager to engage in diverse, creative, and innovative projects
  • Have experience with external vendor interactions and understanding server hardware specifications
  • Have experience with Jira and Confluence

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $100,700 - $181,300/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
