Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Technical Program Manager located in Milpitas CA.

Reporting to the Program Management Manager. The Technical Program Manager provides dedicated support to proactively manage high- and medium-risk parts at the work order level. This includes monitoring batch-to-batch variation, identifying risks early, and driving corrective actions before material reaches production-aiming to prevent line-down situations and protect build continuity.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Cross-functional coordination role (not administrative), involving material planning, risk assessment, and close alignment with Quality, Engineering, and Operations. Based on this, the role aligns best as a Material Planner / Material Risk Coordinator.
  • Work Order Risk Identification: Review upcoming builds and flag high-risk parts.
  • Batch-to-Batch Variation Tracking: Monitor lot/date code differences and identify abnormal trends.
  • Pre-Build Readiness Control: Ensure materials are validated before release to production.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align Quality, Engineering, and Planning on risk and actions.
  • Work with Engineering to validate if a new supplier batch is acceptable.
  • Build Protection / Line-Down Prevention: Prioritize and mitigate risks impacting production continuity.
  • Expedite alternate material if the primary lot is under investigation.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain visibility of risks and actions.
  • Daily tracker showing high-risk parts, status, and mitigation actions.
  • Quality: Provide historical defect data and define containment actions.
  • Engineering: Validate technical impact of variation and approve usage decisions.
  • IQA (Incoming Quality): Perform inspections and enforce material control.
  • Production: Align build priorities and execution based on material readiness.
  • Program Management (TPM): Align with customer expectations and manage escalations.
  • Supply Chain / Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers for replacement or corrective actions.


Here is some of what you'll need:

  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering/Program Management/Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years' experience in related field 24/7 Manufacturing Industry
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management in regulated manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years Quality Inspection experience
  • Experience in leading major initiatives Programs and provides input to those initiatives.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional technologies and design processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependence of such processes at the site.
