Full Job Description
About the Role

Clutch is scaling fast, and we're looking for a Technical Program Manager to help lead that growth from the ground up. You'll join at a pivotal moment; new production lines coming online, major capital projects underway, and ambitious production targets ahead. You'll be the person who makes sure it all comes together.

This is a rare opportunity to build the operating rhythm for a company in hypergrowth: owning the integrated plan across engineering, production, and software, and driving cross-functional teams toward a shared goal with real authority to make it happen.

If you're excited by ambiguity, energized by fast-paced environments, and want a seat at the table shaping how we scale, this is your chance to make a lasting mark on a company redefining how Canadians buy and sell cars.

This is not a project coordinator role. You'll need enough technical and operational depth to challenge assumptions from engineering, production, and other groups alike.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the integrated program plan across concurrent capex projects, opex initiatives, and production ramp targets. Be the source of truth that every function references, not siloed plans that collide on the floor.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies and resourcing conflicts (e.g., a facility install and a production milestone competing for the same technicians or floor time) before they become firefights.
  • Drive tradeoff conversations to resolution with functional leads across Production, Engineering, Facilities, Parts/Supply Chain, and other teams.
  • Support resequencing work and use judgment to determine what can be resolved independently and what needs to be escalated.
  • Build and maintain a resourcing view alongside the timeline. Understand who is committed to what, where the pinch points are over the next 4-8 weeks, and flag true capacity gaps versus prioritization problems.
  • Use real production data, including throughput, ramp curves, and utilization, to build recovery plans when a program slips rather than waiting for a scheduled review to identify issues.
  • Maintain a visible risk and issue log and run a regular cadence with senior leadership for decisions that exceed your authority.
  • Push back constructively when tradeoffs are being smoothed over instead of surfaced. This role only works if conflicts get named, not avoided.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams from planning through completion, ensuring timelines, resources, and priorities remain aligned.
  • Help establish scalable processes and operating rhythms that support Clutch's continued growth.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years in technical program management, engineering program leadership, or a closely related role in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial operations environment.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, multi-workstream programs where capital projects, operational changes, and production targets intersected and competed for the same resources.
  • Strong technical and engineering fluency, with the ability to challenge assumptions and hold your own in discussions with engineering, production, and other technical teams.
  • Track record of driving cross-functional teams toward decisions under real-time pressure, including escalating appropriately when consensus stalls.
  • Experience building or maintaining integrated planning tools such as Linear, Wrike, or similar platforms, along with resourcing views across teams.
  • Strong understanding of production environments, processes, and operational workflows.
  • Direct, low-ego communication style; someone who names hard tradeoffs rather than avoiding them.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • P.Eng, engineering degree, or equivalent hands-on technical background strongly preferred given the level of technical credibility required.
Why You'll Love It at Clutch

  • Career Growth: Join a rapidly growing company with opportunities for leadership and professional development.

  • Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a strong compensation package, including salary and benefits.
