Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Product Owner to serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, spearheading digital transformation initiatives within Investments Finance. This role requires a unique blend of financial acumen, technical fluency, and strategic thinking to translate product vision into actionable work that drives measurable business value. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable conducting code reviews and facilitating executive stakeholder workshops; owning both the technical backlog and the broader transformation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Translate Product Vision into Actionable Work
  • Convert product strategy and transformation vision into clear, well-defined user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
  • Ensure alignment to strategic outcomes, Enterprise Architecture roadmaps, and organizational objectives
  • Own both the technical product backlog and non-functional requirements - covering performance, security, scalability, and implementation standards
  • Support and own deliverables that contribute to key results (e.g., process flows, pain point analyses, requirements documentation, use cases, kickoff decks)


🔹 Business & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as a strategic business and thought partner to difference Finance leaders
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with key stakeholders to gather input, align on priorities, and refine deliverables
  • Identify upstream and downstream dependencies with other programs or initiatives and collaborate across teams accordingly
  • Ensure all recommendations and designs align with enterprise or global standards


🔹 Agile Delivery & Ceremonies
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and PI Planning
  • Own and manage work in Jira including the team backlog, ensuring stories are well-groomed and prioritized across current sprints and program increments
  • Balance competing priorities to maximize business value delivery


🔹 Product Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Validate completed work against defined acceptance criteria and business needs in collaboration with QA teams
  • Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders and end-users to iteratively improve product functionality and user experience
  • Conduct code reviews and establish standards for technical documentation and release planning


🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and fellow product owners to ensure seamless execution
  • Collaborate with Business Product Owners in adjacent domains (e.g., Performance Management) when processes span shared systems and data
  • Support change management efforts and drive adoption of new solutions across finance functions


🔹 Program Governance & Performance Tracking
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track the effectiveness of transformation initiatives
  • Support program governance activities including status reporting and executive readouts
  • Build roadmaps and logically sequence recommendations while accounting for parallel or dependent initiatives


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, or transformation leader in an Agile environment
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems (FP&A, Pricing, Reconciliation, Consolidations, ERP, accounting, reporting)
  • Experience assessing, designing, and implementing process and technology solutions in a financial setting
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge end-to-end processes to support large-scale transformations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear, concise narratives for all audiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a large, matrixed, global environment and build trust at all levels
  • Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)


Preferred Skills:

  • SAFe or Scrum certification with 3+ years of experience in enterprise or finance transformations
  • Certified Product Owner (CSPO or equivalent)
  • Technical background or familiarity with APIs, data integration, and cloud platforms
  • Experience with PPM Clarity and ServiceNow
  • Experience in global finance operations or enterprise-scale projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies
  • Willingness to travel as needed

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
