Job Summary

Compass Group is seeking a Technical Product Owner to support our enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform. This role will drive the technical strategy, configuration, and integration of CLM capabilities supporting Legal and Foodbuy contracting operations.

This position requires a strong blend of technical product ownership, CLM domain expertise, and hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise API integrations.

The Technical Product Owner will own platform configuration and integration architecture while partnering with the Product Manager on the CLM product roadmap. This role partners closely with Legal, Procurement (Foodbuy), IT Architecture, and external vendors to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing contract lifecycle solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience with CLM toolsets and integrations as well as strong knowledge of CLM processes, and a proven track record of delivering complex system integrations in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

CLM Platform Ownership
  • Serve as a technical product owner for the enterprise CLM platform
  • Define and manage the CLM roadmap aligned to
  • Legal and Foodbuy priorities.
  • Configure and optimize workflows, templates, clause libraries, approval processes, metadata models, and obligation tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement of contract intake through post-signature lifecycle management.
  • Lead system enhancements, module implementations, and upgrades.


Technical Architecture & Integrations
  • Design and oversee REST/SOAP API integrations between CLM and enterprise systems (SAP, procurement platforms, CRM, identity management, data warehouse/snowflake, etc).
  • Define data mapping, synchronization logic, and governance standards for contract metadata.
  • Partner with architects and developers on middleware strategies and integration patterns.
  • Ensure scalability, performance optimization, and adherence to enterprise security standards.
  • Support automation of approval workflows and downstream operational processes.


Agile Product Delivery
  • Translate business requirements into technical user stories and prioritized backlogs.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT coordination, and release management.
  • Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Monitor KPIs related to cycle time, compliance, and performance.


Governance & Reporting
  • Establish data integrity and contract metadata standards.
  • Support advanced reporting and analytics for Legal and Procurement leadership.
  • Maintain role-based access controls and compliance with enterprise security policies.


Qualifications
