Job Description:Summary:The Technical Product Manager is a radiology workflow and technology expert. This person defines, prioritizes, and plans updates to the vRad radiology software platform, balancing input from internal and external users, Radiology Partners' radiology practice partners, vRad's Product Solutions department, and IT Executive Steering Committee. The Technical Product Manager works closely with Software Engineering to rapidly advance vRad's technology platform to meet vRad's ever evolving business, financial and clinical objectives.
This position requires occasional business travel, with trips lasting approximately 1-3 days in duration. The success of this position will be driven by his/her consultative approach as he/she cultivates relationships, manages expectations and articulates comprehensive solutions that expand and improve vRad's suite of software applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Guide the evolution of vRad's suite of software applications
- Act as product owner on multiple agile software development teams
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
- Cultivate and communicate product vision
- Represent customers and stakeholders
- Communicate status externally
- Works with team to eliminate barriers
- Provide recommendations regarding technology investments to the IT Executive Steering Committee
- Meet with customers to identify customer needs
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business and user needs and translate to software systems specifications
- Maintain current knowledge of similar software products
- Work collaboratively with team members to support a rapidly growing information technology intensive business
- Assist in estimating, planning, and scheduling software development tasks
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the company as well as external customers
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation as needed to support radiologists and other systems support issues
- Strong understanding of healthcare practice administration, including licensing and credentialing processes
Qualifications/Education:- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5+ years of software development experience
- Direct experience working in or with a radiology department - e.g., as a radiologic technologist (RT), imaging informatics specialist, PACS administrator, or in a clinical support role for radiology software
- Solid understanding of radiology workflows, imaging modalities (MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound), and clinical terminology
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR
- Demonstrated experience writing specifications and documentation for the dissemination of work within a software development organization

- Strong process orientation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and a firm commitment to quality
- Ability to travel up to 15%
