Technical Product Leader - Retail FinTech Platforms
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Leader to provide strategic product oversight across a portfolio of large-scale retail financial technology initiatives. This role is ideal for a seasoned product professional who combines deep expertise in consumer-facing digital platforms with a strong understanding of technical architecture, regulatory environments, and modern product delivery methodologies.
The successful candidate will serve as a senior leader across multiple product teams, helping guide product strategy, oversee vendor-delivered solutions, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives. This individual will operate as a horizontal leader across initiatives rather than being dedicated to a single product team, providing expertise and oversight across complex programs.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership & Oversight

• Provide senior-level product leadership across multiple product teams and initiatives.
• Drive alignment between product strategy, business objectives, and technical execution.
• Influence product direction and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Oversee external vendor-delivered product work and ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies as a product leader and advisor while supporting governance and oversight responsibilities.

Technical Product Management

• Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to evaluate solutions and implementation approaches.
• Understand application architecture, scalability considerations, and deployment strategies.
• Challenge assumptions and help guide technical decision-making through a product lens.
• Support product delivery across:
  • iOS applications
  • Android applications
  • Web-based platforms
• Contribute to product roadmap planning, prioritization, and execution.

Strategic Communication

• Develop and communicate product roadmaps, strategies, and executive-level updates.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business-focused messaging.
• Create compelling product narratives and visual presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership teams, providing objective product guidance and recommendations.

Governance & Compliance

• Support product initiatives operating within highly regulated environments.
• Ensure appropriate oversight of compliance, risk, and governance requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to balance innovation, customer experience, and regulatory obligations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably within complex technology organizations.
• Experience supporting large-scale, consumer-facing digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including both traditional waterfall and modern Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience partnering with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively across multiple concurrent initiatives and product domains.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong preference for candidates with experience in:

• Retail fintech platforms
• Brokerage and trading applications
• Wealth management technology platforms
• High-volume transactional systems
• Consumer-facing mobile and web applications
• Data-intensive digital products
• Technical architecture oversight and product governance

Regulatory & Industry Experience
Experience working within regulated industries is highly desirable, including familiarity with:

• SEC regulations
• FINRA compliance requirements
• FinCEN regulations
• Retail financial services governance and controls

Candidates from the following backgrounds are strongly preferred:

• FinTech organizations
• Brokerage or trading platforms
• Wealth management technology providers
• Large-scale consumer technology companies

Candidates from healthcare organizations may also be considered if they have experience supporting high-volume, data-intensive digital platforms.
